The YakBlak duo acquires old and damaged vintage sunglass frames and fully restores them. We realign and polish our frames and replace their lenses making them appear brand new. Our core business/design model is "What's Old is New". By using creativity, design and technology we give things a new life.
We are fully committed to this concept and it is evident in our display, marketing materials and the products we use to define our brand. Aside from fixing the faces of the world, one of YakBlak's primary goals is to make sure we have little to no impact on Mama Earth.
The YakBlak Display
Our commitment to sustainability crosses over to our street vending display, designed and built by JuWilCu Design + Construction. The entire display was fabricated at SSBX, with up-cycled plywood, purchased at Build it Green, a salvage yard that recovers and resells construction materials, preventing them from ending up in a land fill.
Our commitment to Mama Earth keeps us purchasing products and materials that can be reused and repurposed. This commitment also encourages us to employ the services of local and small businesses.
Packaging and Marketing
Our previous packaging which also doubles as a display feature has been recently transformed into a new design and the scraps have become our new business cards.
FIX YOUR FACE
Our slogan holds true to our mission of being a fully sustainable company. Instead of urging you to get a new face we are committed to helping your “FIX YOUR FACE”!
Why reinvent the wheel?
